The single most important factor for an indoor or outdoor convex mirror is the quality of the view and reflection delivered by its surface. STAINLESS STEEL quality: a mirror made from stainless steel.
Polished stainless steel produces a perfect reflection on a par with a glass mirror. This material is much more robust and durable however and is also UV and corrosion-resistant (no risk of rusting). These characteristics are achieved without any additional treatment. This means that the mirrors can be curved to obtain a 90° viewing angle. It is also 100% recyclable and in line with our environmental commitments.
Benefits and uses:
- Unbreakable mirrors with a resistant surface offering a premium, undistorted, view quality.
- Excellent resistance to inclement weather, UV, impact or vandalism for optimum durability. The stainless steel outdoor mirror is ideal for placement in environments with non-temperate or even extreme conditions: intense heat, humidity and salt water environments (seaside and coastal). The stainless steel model with integrated anti-frost/anti-condensation system is also effective at high altitudes or in places with extremely low temperatures.
- Incredibly easy to maintain and clean.
- The ideal quality grade for use in: traffic mirrors, driveway mirrors and indoor and outdoor safety and security mirrors in industrial settings (including industries with a restricted environment).
Warranties:
Our stainless steel mirrors are guaranteed for 10 years. 6 years for the anti-frost and anti-condensation device integrated into the stainless steel. 2 years for the “Special restricted environment” stainless steel mirrors.
POLYCARBONATE quality: :
A polycarbonate mirror is made from a plastic raw material with excellent thermal resistance and mechanical properties.
Therefore, it enables us to create hemispheric mirrors with a 360° view, for example, that are highly resistant against weather and harmful conditions. This material is also one of the industrial plastics that can be almost infinitely recycled.
Benefits and uses:
- Unbreakable and impact-resistant mirror surface offering an excellent view with no distortion.
- Lightweight and highly shock-resistant. The Vialux® polymer mirror is mainly used indoors.
- Easy to clean
- Ideal material quality for use as a safety and security mirror for industry or local authorities. With an evacuation hole, it can be placed under water fire extinguishing systems such as sprinklers.
Warranty:
Our polycarbonate mirrors have a 5 year warranty.
Polymir® and P.A.S.® mirrors are made from polymers. As a result, they are sometimes referred to as ‘acrylic mirrors’. Their lightweight materials have excellent mechanical qualities and can be recycled. They can be used to make unbreakable multi-purpose mirrors that are especially resistant and durable. Furthermore, their surface design offers a clear curve with viewing angles of 90° or 180°. This provides maximum visibility to users in 2 or 3 different directions.
Benefits and uses:
- Polymir and P.A.S. mirror surfaces reflect a clear image, without any distortion.
- They are unbreakable, impact-resistant and shock-resistant.
- They have an anti-UV surface treatment. This prevents them from becoming opaque and guarantees durable resistance.
- A.S. quality also comes with anti-scratch and anti-static treatment.
- Easy to maintain and clean with water.
- Ideal solution for use as an outdoortraffic mirror (red and white frame), or indoor surveillance mirror.
Warranties:
- Polymir® mirrors have a 3 year warranty.
- A.S.® mirrors have additional quality and a warranty for a further 2 years, or 5 yearsin total.
PMMA quality: PMMA means la polymethyl methacrylate, more commonly known as ‘Plexiglass’. Some people call the PMMA mirror an ‘acrylic mirror’.
This lightweight and fire-resistant material offers may possibilities for transformation. We mould it as a spherical mirror, for example, as a quarter or half-dome, for wide-angle vision. It’s also used for flat shatterproof mirrors.
Benefits and uses:
- Mirror surface with very good reflection quality: clear image.
- More resistant than a glass mirror, although still breakable.
- Our lightweight, economical PMMA mirrors are mainly for indoor installation.
- Easy to maintain.
- Quality of material enabling use as a surveillance mirror in shops or as a safety and security mirror for industrial and logistics sites.
Warranty:
Our PMMA mirrors have a 2 year warranty.
FULL MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY OF 2 TO 10 YEARS
The Miroir Industrie manufacturer’s warranty covers the safety and security surveillance mirrors in full. This therefore includes:
- the surface: unbreakable, except for PMMA,
- the frame: usually anti-UV treated and our premium quality adhesives are resistant to detaching and colour change,
- the fixing kitprovided with each mirror.
In addition, the traceability we apply to our products make it easy to identify a Miroir Industrie product thanks to its labelling with the “Vialux®” brand logo and its date tagging with the month and year of production.
See above for all the warranty periods, from 2 to 10 years, depending on the mirror quality grade and the material used in its manufacture. Naturally, our mirrors are covered in full subject to normal use of the product.
Accessories and related products also generally have a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty.
WARRANTY AND RESISTANCE CERTIFICATES
Various wind, UV or harmful conditions have been performed by independent testing laboratories or under the supervision of a bailiff. All of the results have been certified, confirming the outstanding performance and quality of our products.
